Dying flowers sing in seasons
Songs of haunting, bruised horizons
Dust settles on this burning night
Leaving my love in ruins
The light and the goodbye slowly darken
My heart is sinking, losing balance,
Envy a feather on the wind
No longer caged here with my burdens…

About the Author
Sarah began writing poetry in the 3rd grade, her first collection of poetry being called ‘Poems Galore’. There were several times throughout life when she had to stop writing, times when she was silenced by life, was void of feeling, or felt too much to put anything on paper.
