Who can he trust
when he is the last man to roam
on deteriorating bridges
and barren land
where traces of life
are buried deep beneath
the planet’s dust
He knows not what
abnormal existence he will
find in cold caverns where
he must find refuge and warmth
Tomorrow is another day
where he must continue
the search for a way out
but today he only worries
about how to survive the night
